Earlier I mentioned Twitter had a UI change and @replies were now @mentions. Well it turns out this change goes a bit deeper than that. It’s actually an API level change; requesting for replies now gets @mentions, as well as @replies.
Here it is already in action in Tweetie.
This makes the Replies section of client apps exponentially more useful; as those of you who rely on search.twitter.com, or clients that tracked search twitter.com will know.
